DC wants to be his own man but sadly he was overshadowed and saddled by the leadership of his party who keep on harping on Yawgate and goes on further to stoop so low with the hope of capitalising on the NCMP saga of WP instead of concentrating on the true issue of BE and that is the electing of the best person to be the new MP of Hougang. Now after lossing the BE that big gun has the cheek to suggest that WP can sue him for what he said at the BE to run down Png when it is common knowledge that our Court has no compuncion in jailing those who dares to wear tee shirt with kangaroo displayed on it should they be seen loitering around the Court. If this is the type of leadership in the ruling party I am sorry they are just alineating themselves from the voters and come 2016 they will see the result of their childish behaviour.

I would like to think that the results were not so much a rejection of Choo, but more a rejection of the PAP's high-handed politics, characterised by the arrogance and the double standards of Teo Chee Hean. His conduct during the election campaign was disappointing and even embarrassing. Choo conducted his campaign in a highly dignified manner. I feel sorry for him. His party bosses have let him and the voters down, all this talk of "change" is obviously nothing more than mere platitudes.

sorry to disappoint u, the "black district" as u know in ave 8 is not in TCH side but LHL's amk grc. that why i always view the many directorships shortie yeo the luckiest pap candidates in 2011ge. He the mp there for at least 10yrs liao yet he cannot turn the anti pap sentiments around after so many years. those flats built before 90s can be consider "black district" but unlike hougang smc where teochews are majority, ave 8 are mainly hokkiens. the main areas are around the hougang stadium and xin min primary school. many of the current 40plus yrs old were ex students of xin min primary/secondary which was a "hua2 xiao4", u shd know how they felt when their education not recognised by pap govt. The whole area are littered with ppl who felt wronged by the pap govt past policies.

TCH's hougang completed by hdb in 1992, these were mainly ppl from other part of singapore who upgraded their old flats as the smallest size flat is a 4rooms. this area was catered to be middle class with more cpf who can afford the bigger 5rooms and EA/EM. Unlike to the LHL's hougang where most residents were allocated there after their kampongs were level by pap bulldozers so can only afford a 3NG. So TCH is rather fortune that he didnt get any of the pap haters that assocaited with hougang.

as a long time hougangite, i can give history lesson about hougang. i know where are the black districts better than got more shit. just because he walk ard hougang during 2001 to 2006 dont make got more shit an expert in hougang ground sentiment.
