Nope. The quality has declined over the years. Maybe it is because the owner has been too busy with the Tea Party, trying to topple Obama.

More importantly, need to know what kind of feet you have to get the right shoe. Brands alone do not tell you whether you will be comfortable in them. My feet tend to underpronate, so i need to get neutral shoes for more cushioning and my feet are wide so need to get 2E sizes for jogging. My previous pair was a NB, now on brooks and loving it.

Try Brooks. Relatively cheap and good. SAF used to issue them at one time. Get it from sports link on the 3rd floor of Queensway shopping centre.

Saucony also good but more expensive. Always look out for the special offers at Royal Sporting House.

I always think that Asics and NB are made for Ang Mos because their soles are much harder.

Anyone has a pic of the discontinued New Balance running shoes that were issued to recruits from 1999 to early 2000s?

This was before the time of e-mart and when you could only do kit exchange for your issued items.

I remember they were blue and silver, with a black 'N' on the outside of the foot. The silvery material reflected a lot of light.

I still can't find a pair of running shoes with that sexy colour combo.

I'm using a pair of New Balance 812, a model that is still made in the US. It is a black walking shoe. New Balance seems to have a better selection, if one is looking for walking shoes that can be used as casual shoes without looking like runners.
