Gutsy? More like uncultured. Do you say your mother-in-law is better than a rusty rod shoved up your arse?
I was at Ghim Moh Hawker Centre when this non-English speaking PRC woman backed her car into a delivery bay. I politely advised her not to park there or risk getting fined. To my astonishment, she raised her voice and told me to speak Mandarin if I am Chinese. I replied that we are in S'pore where Mandarin is not the common language that binds us together.

Chinese Woman Causes Mid-Air Disruption on Flight to KL, Delays Take-Off After Heated Argument

A commercial flight from Chongqing to Kuala Lumpur was delayed after a Chinese female passenger allegedly caused a disturbance onboard, triggering intervention from airport security and aviation authorities.

The incident reportedly took place on an AirAsia flight just before take-off, drawing widespread attention on social media after eyewitness footage began circulating online.

According to accounts shared by a passenger who witnessed the situation firsthand, the disruption began shortly after boarding and escalated rapidly, eventually forcing the aircraft to return to its parking bay.

Dispute Over Friends Missing Flight Sparks Conflict

Eyewitnesses claimed the woman became agitated after learning that three of her companions were unable to board the flight. The group was reportedly delayed at the airport for approximately 30 minutes, causing them to miss boarding.

Frustrated by the situation, the passenger confronted cabin crew, insisting that the airline should have waited since tickets had already been purchased. Her dissatisfaction quickly escalated into a loud verbal dispute inside the cabin.

Initially, other passengers assumed it was a minor disagreement. However, tensions intensified when the woman continued speaking loudly on her mobile phone while the aircraft was preparing for departure.

Argument Escalates Over Phone Use and Filming

A fellow passenger seated nearby reportedly reminded her to stop using her phone in accordance with flight safety regulations. This led to a heated exchange, with the woman arguing that the plane had not yet taken off and she was not violating any rules.

The situation worsened when she noticed she was being recorded. She demanded that the video be deleted, accusing the other passenger of infringing on her personal rights. The disagreement soon spiralled into a more confrontational argument, drawing attention from crew members.

Cabin crew attempted to mediate the situation, but communication challenges emerged. The staff initially spoke in English, which reportedly further angered the woman, who insisted on being assisted in Mandarin.

Aircraft Returns to Gate as Situation Escalates

A Mandarin-speaking crew member was eventually called in to assist, but attempts to de-escalate the situation were unsuccessful. Despite efforts to calm her down, the passenger refused to cooperate.

Given the ongoing disruption, the pilot made the decision to return the aircraft to the gate. Airport security personnel were then called onboard to handle the situation, resulting in a delay affecting all passengers.

In a separate development, a handwritten note allegedly from the passenger later surfaced online. In the note, she acknowledged her behaviour was inappropriate, admitted to losing her temper, and promised to exercise better self-control in future. However, the authenticity of the letter has not been officially confirmed.

The incident serves as a reminder of strict aviation safety protocols and the importance of maintaining order onboard flights. Disruptive behaviour can not only lead to delays but may also result in passengers being removed or facing further consequences under aviation regulations.
