i recommended tiong bahru lien fa shui jing pau to him, but he die die wanted chwee kueh. he saw the jiu jia pau in hand production and decided that they resembled too much of his own balls. moreover, the jiu jia pau proprietess didn't give a hew and lan lan went about her own ways of squeezing and massaging the raw dumplings. and they didn't open business until 11:30am! ccb. :p
