A 64-year-old widow from Dombivali in Mumbai has been rendered homeless and compelled to beg on the streets in Vashi after her married son allegedly disowned her and threw her out of his house, reported Malaysia Nanban.
The widow has been provided shelter by a woman in her house in Turbhe village.
The widow alleged that her son's behaviour changed after he got married and started ill-treating her and her 80-year-old husband.
On Jan 26, he threw both of them out of the house.
The woman said she had visited many shelter homes for senior citizens in Mumbai, but they demanded money for providing food and shelter.
