The New Paper

Friday, Jan 03, 2014

The police said they received nine reports of theft involving the slitting of bags on Orchard Road on Christmas Eve.

The cases occurred between 7pm on Dec 24 and 2.30am on Dec 25.

In a Facebook post on Monday, the police said that all the nine cases occurred when the victims were walking in crowded areas.

The culprits are believed to have used a sharp object to slit open the bags and remove valuables, said the police.

A police spokesman said that no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing, adding that bag slitting is a common method used by thieves, reported The Straits Times Online.

The police said people should remain vigilant during the holiday season.

My hubby and I went to Johor Premium Outlets and we felt it was safe to be there until we saw a group of China PRC stairng and aiming our shopping bags when my hubby was trying the new shoes.

we noticed their behaviour and looked at their eyes and they were very suspicious.

we quickly run.!

My bet is on the colombian syndicate or a mainland syndicate.

To be able to Slit Bags so smoothly and even not caught (probably gotten out of Sg by now), it has to be a syndicate at work.

Mainland or Ah Neh Land syndicates are the likely bastards :D

Yeah, we should learn to integrate with them.

orr, after integration singaporeans learnt a new skill, when out of job can use new learnt skill.
Huat ah!!!

Today they slit bags. Tomorrow they slit throats.

Be careful out there everyone. Don't expect the bochup and buaygan poodles to take care of the situation.
