Serious Greedy PAP, PAPsmearer must re-register again for NRIC, and pay $10

Re: IC re-registration, rats, medals and chairs: The daily frustrations of Singaporea

Some homeless senior citizens may look forward to FREE room & board. One would also get FREE healthcare. I'm sure that it is easier than collecting cardboard.

How much cardboard must a home
less Pioneer generation uncle or aunty collect to afford $10 NRIC renewal?

"ICA added that it is an offence under the National Registration Act if the NRIC holder fails to re-register his NRIC within a year of turning 55 years old, or within one year of his return to Singapore if he resides overseas. ICA also said it will send out reminder letters both six and nine months after the NRIC holder turns 55 to ask him to re-register, if he has not done so."

where exactly in the statutes says it's an offence? (pre-empting some bigshot "insider" here.) ;)

Eat shit, this is a sneaky plan to give SQ more business so that FT sinkies like you have to buy plane ticket home to renew NRIC.

For goodness sake, dear all forum bros.

Don't give them ideas, especially those blur like sotong new 'division directors' in MOM, MOHA, etc who may not even have heard of such things before.

Their objectives are obviously revenue driven to fulfil their kpi - remember, the edict from dead old man still stands - every ministry must be able to generate revenue.:(:(:(

Next, they will say that all
NRICs are only valid for 10 years. Must renew every then years until you die. This kind of fee start at $10, i am sure it will end up at $20 Plus in a few years.
