as heavy clouds rolled in from the pacific to the southwest, the grand canyon experiences a once in 50 years event.

it didn't rain in arizona, but clouds hanged on in the canyon. wide angle view.

visitors going to the canyon this week will be disappointed not having the chance to the see the valley floor, but this is a once in a lifetime chance to see a rare blanket of cloud cover below the plateau.
