南投名間著名的「新泰宜婦幼醫院」，驚傳從今晚(23日)起全面停業!原因是財務遭掏空，醫院帳戶竟然只剩下3千多元，還積欠將近40位醫護人員2個月薪水，以及多家藥廠的藥款，廖姓院長請假兩個月避不出面，目前孕婦和病患安排轉往鄰近醫院，勞工局也將對醫院開罰。

玻璃門口貼了公告，23日開始，醫院就停診，將近40位醫護人員頓時失業，甚至欠薪高達570萬還不含3位醫師的薪水。
護理人員拿出自製的薪資紀錄表，從去年開始醫院就開始拖欠薪水。

護理師：「欠了2個月如果再不出面，4月份如果再下去的話就3個月了，然後醫生方面，就是從1月開始就沒有給薪水，沒辦法生活了啦，繼續做也是做白工啦。」
甚至連藥商也受害。
藥商：「積欠我們貨款大概是20萬，也都沒有事先通知啊，那幾個月的時間，4個月，4個月都沒有拿到貨款，對對對。」
傳出財物遭掏空的新泰宜婦幼醫院位在南投名間，上個月29日醫院建物已經被查封，院內存簿內只剩下3000多塊，連水電費都繳不出，現任負責人的廖姓院長請假兩個月，到目前還沒聯繫不上，醫院開業已經24年，接生過2萬名新生兒，在地方小有名氣，最高峰一個月接生160人。原本醫院的孕婦或病患也只能轉到其他鄰近醫院。

縣府社會及勞動處處長林志忠：「我們是到5月11號嘛，要解雇34個人提早來解雇的話，就違反大量解雇勞工保護法第17條的規定了，最起碼會處10萬塊，最高可以到50萬。」
還有負責任的護理師留在醫院，替病患寄送檢驗報告書，但真正該負責的人卻神隱，留下爛攤子和無辜的醫護人員。
