SINGAPORE : A Senior Minister of State appears to have
become a lightning rod for online unhappiness, after she shared her thoughts on
the proposed pay cuts for political leaders on Facebook..

".... So it is with this recent pay cut. If the balance is tilted further in the future, it will make it harder
for any one considering political office."

Those words quickly drew flak in cyberspace, with criticisms coming fast and
furious. And as of 8pm, over 800 people have reposted her Facebook status.
Hundreds have also commented on her status update.

Netizens pointed out that even with the cuts, Ms Fu will be paid much more
than the average Singaporean, and questioned her motives for entering
politics.
