KNN just make sure all the staff wear the stoopid green shirt to grab money KNN

i like the idea of digital bank, no need for shopspace and everything thru the internet.

Can't expect their food delivery or transportation business earn big money.
Being a financial institution is a difference ball game

their next step is to list their company.

my opinion of grab is of a very successful startup.

Its still losing money because now they have to hire super managers with their big pay after getting big time investors involved.
My opinion, they have lost their sense of entrepreneurship after temasek invested and now seems to be telling them what to do and who to hire.
When grab firstt started as myteksi, they made money. But lost their way.

i think they are on the right track, dabble in banking. food delivery and phd were a good start for them besides that was the reason why softbank and temasek invested in them but the competition is too much. the only way out to be accountable to their stakeholders is to list their company, in this way, they won't be short of cash which they never did anyway.

All Grab knows is how to run a taxi and delivery service. They don't even run the full scale bec they don't have a fleet or maintenance. I shudder to think how they are going to run a financial service firm. Having a ewallet like grabpay is not a banking biz.

Its faster to use visa " wave". All these pay by phone in china is due to communist tracking your money.

don't make sense by what you say, even if you pay by wave, there is transaction recorded. nothing will escape pap gahment if they want to scrutinise you.

Grab is trying to grab everything is it? Next venture open a money-lending business or an undertaker business.

Grab is going bust. They are only profitable in Singapore and Malaysia and badly need to list.

Getting the digital banking license will buy them time.

Thr founder lost control.or expanded too fast. He should have gone organic. Expand within cash flow ability.

No one knows whether bust or not.
But at this time they may not be profitable and mainly running operations using investors funds

They are burning up too much cash and lately, they have no mean of tapping into another series of fund raising unless, they get the digital banking license. Therefore, MAS will either bailout Grab by awarding the license to them or stick to their guidance of issuing the new banking license to other prudently-sound and sustainable entities.

Their biggest rival Gojek has a rich sugar-daddy Tencent who continues to inject funds to ensure Gojek's dominance in Southeast Asia.
