李显龙表示，新中关系发展良好。去年两国签署自贸协定升级版，有力促进了双方各领域合作。“一带一路”倡议为促进地区及全球合作作出贡献，新方愿积极参与，同中方拓展第三方市场合作。新中三个政府间合作项目进展顺利，新方愿同中方加强双边合作联委会机制平台，在智慧城市、数字经济领域深化合作，推进“陆海新通道”建设。新方愿继续为促进东盟－中国关系发展作出贡献。
会见后，两国总理共同见证双边合作文件的签署。

Lee Hsien Loong said that the relationship between New Zealand and China is developing well.
