This incident took place in Clark Quay at about 10:40 pm on Thursday (27 Aug) evening.
The video shows a Caucasian male trying to reach a lady who is sitting down behind a couple of men who were defending her from the male.
According to the member of public who submitted the video, the Caucasian male was earlier seen holding the lady tightly, placing her down on the floor, and even slapping on the lady's head a couple of times.
The male with a green shirt and shorts had ran to the front of the lady when this happened, and subsequently more came to protect the lady.
The witness noted that the male with shorts who was speaking in a mainland Chinese accent, had called police and four police officers subsequently arrived on the scene. The other male who was standing together with the caller, is said to have an Australian accent.
The witness commented, "Thanks these 2 guys was standing beside the lady and protect her until police come, if not, I don’t know what will happened."
It is said that the Caucasian male who allegedly assaulted the lady, was taken away by the police officers and the lady was sent to the hospital via an ambulance.
