What if the market freezes up till you can't even sell? That's one scenario to consider if a major quake hits the region and takes out the skyscrapers and uncompleted buildings with it.
That would really be a good kick for the ailing real estate market all over the world wouldn't it?

And how would the insurance companies, besieged by subprime, be able to pay out any of the premiums?
