LONDON: Members of the public were praised as heroes on Friday (Nov 29) after tackling a knife-wielding terrorist on London Bridge, unaware he was apparently wearing an explosive device.

Politicians, police officers, the Church of England's highest cleric and social media users lined up to praise the efforts of a group who pinned down and disarmed the suspect on the pavement before armed police arrived and shot him dead.

Several onlookers caught up in the dramatic events captured the incident on mobile phone footage.

"What's remarkable about the images we've seen is the breathtaking heroism of members of the public who literally ran towards danger, not knowing what confronted them," said London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

"Members of the public didn't realise at the time that was a hoax device and they really are the best of us - another example of the bravery and heroism of ordinary Londoners running towards danger, risking their own personal safety to try and save others."

THE HAGUE (AFP) - Three minors were wounded in a stabbing in the main shopping street in The Hague as people hunted bargains on Black Friday (Nov 29), police said.

Police said they were still hunting a male suspect following the attack, which happened in a department store in the centre of the city.

Dutch media said police were still keeping an open mind about the incident, which came hours after two people were stabbed to death in a terror-related attack in London.

“All three victims of the stabbing incident in Grote Marktstraat are minors. We are in contact with their families,” The Hague police said on Twitter. The police did not give their ages.

“We are still looking for the perpetrator,” they said, adding that they were conducting “extensive investigations”.

“We are currently taking all scenarios into account,” a Dutch police spokeswoman was quoted as saying by the ANP news agency.

The stabbing happened at the Hudson’s Bay department store in Grote Marktstraat, the biggest shopping area in The Hague, which is lined with major retailers and brands.

Social media images showed shoppers running in panic away from the scene, on a nighttime retail street lit by Christmas fairy lights.

Police said they were looking for a “slightly dark-skinned man” with curly hair aged between 40 and 50 wearing a black top, scarf and grey jogging bottoms.

This is like the Cantonese saying, " yeow so, neigh gor low tow"...which translated as " have. moustache, it is your father'. ha ha ha ha

It is a mystery that these Muslims, ran away from oppression in their own countries which practices the same religion, goes to an infidel one for a better life, can't stand living there & want to change the world?

Europe will impound sooner or later. Life is good now in most European cities. When money start to deplete, true colour of European will surface. Example is Eastern Europe. No immigrant dare to step foot there. For those who are already there, they are good citizen. Any crossing of the line will be answered with punitive action.

Most recent example is Greece. No money, so immigrants were less and well behave.

So the next war or purge I believed will happen in Europe.

LONDON: British police named the man who stabbed two people to death in London on Friday (Nov 29) in what the authorities called a terrorist attack as 28-year-old Usman Khan, who had been previously convicted of terrorism offences and released from prison last year.
"This individual was known to authorities, having been convicted in 2012 for terrorism offences," said Britain's top counter-terrorism police officer Neil Basu in a statement.
"He was released from prison in December 2018 on licence and clearly, a key line of enquiry now is to establish how he came to carry out this attack."
A person who is released on licence is subject to conditions for the duration of their sentence after leaving prison. The Times newspaper reported that Khan had agreed to wear an electronic tag.

Basu said that Khan had been living in the Staffordshire region of central England and officers were searching an address in that area.
"The circumstances, as we currently understand them, are that the attacker attended an event earlier on Friday afternoon at Fishmonger's Hall called 'Learning Together'," the statement said.
"We believe that the attack began inside before he left the building and proceeded onto London Bridge, where he was detained and subsequently confronted and shot by armed officers."
The attacker went on the rampage just before 2pm (1400 GMT), targeting people at Fishmongers' Hall near London Bridge in the heart of the city's financial district - the scene of a deadly attack by militants two years ago.
In addition to the man and the woman who were killed, a man and two women were injured and remain in hospital, Basu said.
Half a dozen bystanders tackled the suspect to the ground and grabbed his knife.
Politicians, police officers, the Church of England's highest cleric and social media users lined up to praise the efforts of the group who pinned down and disarmed the suspect on the pavement before armed police arrived and shot him.
Just before news broke of the suspect's previous conviction, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is seeking re-election on Dec 12, said criminals must be made to serve their sentences.
"It is a mistake to allow serious and violent criminals to come out of prison early, and it is very important that we get out of that habit and that we enforce the appropriate sentences for dangerous criminals, especially for terrorists," he said.
Johnson leads opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, according to opinion polls.
During the 2017 election campaign, London Bridge was the scene of an attack when three militants drove a van into pedestrians and then attacked people in the surrounding area, killing eight and injuring at least 48. The attack focused attention on cuts to policing since the governing Conservatives took power in 2010.
"We owe a deep debt of gratitude to our police and emergency services, and the brave members of the public who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others," Corbyn said late on Friday.

UK is a good trainer. Even eye witnesses dont dare to reveal moozzies did it. I have been searching since

It is a mystery that these Muslims, ran away from oppression in their own countries which practices the same religion, goes to an infidel one for a better life, can't stand living there & want to change the world?

You can't bring in third world shit and expect them to adopt first world standards and norms. Look at Sweden. Immigration is not a charity, nor is it a platform for virtue signalling.

To quote from a Trump rally: "You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in."

London Bridge terrorist Usman Khan was attending a conference on prisoner rehabilitation when he launched his attack.
His life probably suck. He tried to get somebody to kill him the first time, failed. But is succesful second time round. Thats how i see it.

The mozzies need a final solution
Culled them all if not more humane would be to sterilised the lot and banished them to Africa.

And the sound of silence from the resident mudslime whore and is minions is indeed deafening.

LONDON: Islamic State said the London Bridge attack on Friday (Nov 29) was carried out by one of its fighters, the group's Amaq news agency reported on Saturday. The group did not provide any evidence.
It added that the attack was made in response to Islamic State calls to target countries that have been part of a coalition fighting the jihadist group.
British police on Friday shot dead a man wearing a fake suicide vest who stabbed two people to death in London and wounded three more before being wrestled to the ground by bystanders, in what the authorities called a terrorist attack.
Three people remain in hospital with two victims in a stable condition while a third person is suffering from less serious injuries, according to the National Health Service.
Usman Khan, 28, who was wrestled to the ground by bystanders and then shot dead by police, was convicted in 2012 for his part in an al Qaeda-inspired plot to blow up the London Stock Exchange. He was released in December 2018 subject to conditions.
Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the main opposition Labour Party, criticised the government's sentencing policies.
"There's got to be a very full investigation," said Corbyn who is seeking to depose Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the election on Dec 12 but trails in opinion polls.
"I think there is also a question about what the probation service were doing ... and whether the parole board should have been involved in deciding whether or not he should have been allowed to be released from prison in the first place," he said.
Earlier, Johnson said the London Bridge attack was a terrorist act and vowed to end a practice whereby serious offenders can be automatically let out of prison early.
"I have long said that this system simply isn't working," he said after visiting the scene of the attack on Saturday.
Those convicted of a serious terrorism offence should face a mandatory minimum sentence of 14 years, he said later.
ECHOES OF 2017
Police said they were continuing their investigation by searching two addresses in the Staffordshire and Stoke areas of central England, with the country's top counter-terrorism officer saying they were not looking for any other suspects.
"We have found no evidence to suggest anybody else was involved in this attack," said Neil Basu. "Our investigative priority at this time is to ensure that there is no related outstanding threat to the public."
London Bridge was the scene of an attack during the 2017 election when three militants drove a van into pedestrians and then attacked people in the surrounding area, killing eight people and injuring at least 48.
Islamic State said its fighters were responsible for that attack, but the British authorities have cast doubt on those claims. The 2017 attack focused attention on cuts to policing since the ruling Conservatives took power in 2010.
Friday's attack prompted a pause in election campaigning, but scaled-back activities resumed on Saturday, ahead of the election that could decide the fate of Brexit.
Five polls published late on Saturday showed the Conservatives ahead of Labour but with margins ranging from six to 15 points. Pollster BMG said it was possible noe party wins a majority in the 650-seat parliament.
On Sunday, Corbyn will condemn foreign interventions such as the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 for stoking hatred, The Observer newspaper reported as security and law and order feature more prominently in the campaign after Friday's attack.
The police and politicians were joined on Saturday by Queen Elizabeth in praising those who intervened to thwart the assailant.

London Bridge attacker Usman Khan's lawyer thought his convicted terrorist client would not offend again
a suspected terrorist is surrounded by police on London Bridge
VIDEO 1:04 Two people killed in London Bridge stabbing attack ABC NEWS
The lawyer for the London Bridge attacker has told the ABC he was shocked when he heard Usman Khan was responsible for the deadly stabbing rampage, saying when he saw him last year he was convinced he was reformed.
He had been sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2012 but was released on licence in December last year.
He had been wearing an electronic tag.
Now solicitor Vajahat Sharif has questioned whether enough was done to "deradicalise" Khan during the eight years he spent in prison.
Mr Sharif began representing the terrorist before his jailing in 2012 for terrorism offences.
"When he was arrested he was a teenager, when he was sentenced he was 19 years old," Mr Sharif told the ABC.
"So I'm sure he could have overcome this improper thinking with the right assistance and guidance."

Mr Sharif argues Khan needed more targeted assistance.
"I was very shocked, very upset for the victims and their families and also very upset about what happened to Usman. How did something like this happen?" Mr Sharif questioned.
In a letter sent from London's Belmarsh Prison to Mr Sharif's associate in 2012, and seen by the ABC, Khan asked to be placed in a "deradicalisation" program.
"I would be grateful if you could arrange some kind of course, that I can do where I can properly learn Islam," Khan wrote.
"And I can prove I don't carry the extreme view that I might have carried before."
Authorities did not respond directly to Mr Sharif's comments, but the ABC understands Khan did attend anti-terror workshops while in prison.

One of Khan's two victims has been named as 25-year-old Jack Merritt, a Cambridge University graduate who was course coordinator for prisoner rehabilitation program Learning Together.
The criminology program was hosting a conference at Fishmongers' Hall when Khan — who was in attendance — threatened to blow up the venue before stabbing several people including Mr Merritt.

Mr Sharif told the ABC he could not fault the decision to grant early release at the time.
"While he was in custody he was engaging fully and completely with whatever the prison probation authorities required of him," Mr Sharif said.
"On the face of it he was a success, he was doing very well. So something has gone completely wrong."
In the letter sent in 2012, Kahn wrote that he wanted to "live my life as a good Muslim and also a good citizen of Britain".

Law and order high on election agenda after attack
Khan's attack pushed law and order toward the top of the British political agenda ahead of this month's election.
The incident initially prompted a pause in election campaigning, but scaled-back activities resumed on Saturday, ahead of the December 12 election that could decide the fate of Brexit.

Leader of the main opposition Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn criticised the Government's sentencing policies in the wake of the incident.
"There's got to be a very full investigation," said Mr Corbyn, who is seeking to depose Prime Minister Boris Johnson but trails in opinion polls.
"I think there is also a question about what the probation service were doing … and whether the parole board should have been involved in deciding whether or not he should have been allowed to be released from prison in the first place," he said.
