Golden Mile Complex to be conserved

when i was staying in ivrea in northern italy i had the opportunity to put up in the “typewriter” la serra hotel. it’s ugly, impractical, but iconic. each room had split levels, with sitting area below and sleeping area above. i had to crawl on the stairs to avoid hitting my head when i needed to sleep. it’s no longer in operation but structure is preserved for posterity.
 
There has been stories about haunted offices in those building.
 
Land scarce city state keep for what, tear down build higher, better high-tech architecture bah..
