The Primary 1 registration frenzy did not hit every school.

There are three neighbourhood schools which can barely form a class next year.

Hong Kah Primary School in Bukit Batok West has only 23 pupils registered for next year so far, even though it can take up to 150.

Meanwhile, balloting had to be conducted at 22 schools during the Phase 2C Supplementary.

Registration for Phase 3 – which is taken up by those who missed the earlier phases and foreigners – will start on Aug 29.

At the National Day Rally on Sunday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong emphasised again that every school is a good school, but he acknowledged that parents and pupils still have strong preferences for certain schools.

I find that the Malaysian station 94.60 Lite FM a better choice. There is less talk & even the news is more about news then propaganda.

Yup 94.60 is my choice too..less talking cock and all the good old songs Ive havent heard for years..but because of hari raya month..my ipod is kept busy..dont wanna hear hari raya songs..

Darned flying dutchman is back on this radio dial, has Joe been redeployed?

Yes it's very funny when a Malay song pops out after Abba:)

You wouldn't know they are a Malaysian station if it wasn't for the Malaysian traffic reports & news.

Why not change the name to 'Hong Kan Primary School'. Remember, in the business of education, it's all about marketing. ;)
