Really depends on what you would define as "fun".

For people who like scenery and mountain hiking, HK has a very good mountain tracking routes. Definitely higher than Bukit Timah Hill. Even at the central, there is a small little bird park at central park just off Admiralty MTR station, up from the Pacific Place.

The best food in HK of course is the Roasted Goose from 深井 in New Territory. Dim Sum from DaoHiong (稻香) or Maxim restaurants are good. To me, shopping is quite boring but for those who like it, there are lots of places to shop. From 尖沙嘴 佐敦 油麻地 旺角 太子 深水埗 all full of shopping places. Depending on what you want to shop for, there are lots of things there. The Central Library at 天后-铜锣湾 is worth visiting. Lots of books and magazines collection.

If you are bored with city lifestyle, just take a ferry to some outlying islands at 尖沙嘴 or 湾仔 jetty. Some outlying islands have experimental windmill generators which generate electricity. 赤柱 has two beaches with great scenery. You can visit the 西贡 for fresh sea food as well. Before that, visiting the 香港科技大学 near there would be great as there is a great scenery. There is also a place specially for flying kite at 西贡 but pretty remote.

The Peak is of course a great place for the evening. Every evening at about 7pm to 8pm, they have outdoor laser musical show at 尖沙嘴 where the buildings across the harbor will have laser lighting dancing to the music.

There is a street of antique shops at 上环. This place also have lots of shops selling sharp fins, herbs and bird nests. You can take the HK$2 trumps.

It all depends on who are traveling with you and how long you are staying in HK. Different parts of HK have different interesting things to look at. Have a nice holiday.

Oh, btw, if you are visiting HK on 4 June, don't forget to take a look at the memorial service for the 89 4 June massacred at Victoria Park just opposite the Central Library, in between 铜锣湾 and 天后 MTR. It is an evening event.

Or if your visit covers 1 July, you can take photos of the 1st July protest march, starting at the same place.

THks, what about the club scene?

If you like to see the dark side of Hong Kong, you can try Mongkok. But be wary though, that area is not exactly the safest part of Hong Kong.

For food, I managed to find many food houses which serve tasty meals in Tsim Sha Tsui.

While you are there.... dun forget to pay a visit to the "clubhouse" of the Hong Xin society. You may be lucky enough to witness the initiation rites of new members into the triad or young teenage gals into the "fishball trade" :p
They have these initiation ceremonies every week.

If you're lucky, you may see Goh Meng Seng there presiding over the youth wing rite of investiture. He's Hong Heng (洪興) senior (長老) but won't be there every week, perhaps once a month or so. It's Hong Heng. Hong Xing is for clueless Singapore movie buffs who can't even speak Cantonese properly.

Wish I was lucky then to see rituals like this.
But then again, after witnessing the rituals, I might not be alive to type in this forum.

Bro in HK just book your girls here. Enjoy!

Don't chiong in HK.
If got money, take a ferry to Macau.
If not so much money, take a train to Dongguan or a ferry to Zhuhai.

i am more familiar with the kowloon side cos i used to travel there quite frequently for work. Seriously, hongkong cantonese food is really one notch above singapore's.

You can go to mongkok at night and try the small restaurants there. i still remember the duck blood cubes stewed with jiu chai. Awesome. the wonton mee in hongkong is also no fight. their wonton is our shuigou here. big and juicy. there is a stall in homhum where i eat from almost every night.

During weekends, go to dim sum during the afternoons. i recommend a restaurant at yau ma tei when they serve all the traditional hongkong dim sum. plus it's chow yan fatt's frequented restaurant too. i saw him there ordering take away once and i was dumbstruck.

The biggest draw back about hongkong food is their lousy chilli.

ahhh macau.. the asian city of sin. after i went there just once, i never enjoyed cheonging in singapore, hk or china anymore.

You say that to a Honkie, and you wont get there. It's called Lan Kwai Fong in Cantonese. No 'gui's in HK.
If you say "LanGuiFong" in Mandarin accent, 95% of Hongkongers will know what you mean.
There are plenty of PRC nationals in HK who say that.
"LanGwaiFong" is the pronounciation in Cantonese accent.

Chilli in HK is a problem, especially for a Chilli lover like me.
They don't even have chilli sauce in the fastfood restuarants, only tomato ketchup.
The chilli sauce in their chinese fastfood cafes like Cafe De Coral or Fairwood is really terrible.

As for Macau, it's really paradise for men. You go to the saunas or niteclubs or get an FL back to your hotel room to empty your balls, then go back to the casino to empty your wallet. then repeat the cycles until your wallet or your balls are empty.
It's now swarming with PRC nationals. The normal tourists stay for a few days, the rich guys stay for days on end. If SG doesn't have a bustling sauna, niteclub or FL scene, they will never match the attraction of Macau.
