Goh Meng Seng: Yesterday someone asked me why make a police report when Calvin Cheng has "apologized" for that comment (on 28 Nov). I said, is that so? Not that I know of.
I said, that apology was insincere. In fact he didn't apologize or retract his words at all. All he did were to apologize to the organization he belongs to for the inconvenience caused.
Nothing apologetic about the statement he has made. In fact he wanted an "intellectual public discourse" over this statement and thus we shall give him. First, a test on whether our legal system would tolerate his nonsense, which challenges the rule of law and dangerous speech in inciting violence against innocent people.
