any econ major would have heard of Coase theorem but not GMS

Coase theorem states that if trade in an externality is possible and there are no transaction costs, bargaining will lead to an efficient outcome regardless of the initial allocation of property rights.

You can laugh at GMS, ridicule his political acumen, make fun of his weight. But if you say his 2nd Upper Econs degree is fake, you're not going to gain credibility.

You have to give credit to GMS for doing very well in his studies.
