Girl, 3, dies after her father reversed vehicle into her

A three-year-old girl died after her father reversed his vehicle into her without realising she was there, Berita Harian reported.

Siti Nur Hazwani Khairul Azhar had wanted to follow her father to his restaurant in Ajil, Terengganu, on Sunday in his 4WD vehicle.

Her father, Khairul Azhar Abdullah, 46, turned her down as he had work to do.

However, when he was reversing his car, he suddenly heard a scream.

Khairul Azhar was shocked to see Siti Nur Hazwani lying under the vehicle.

State CID chief Asst Comm K. Manoharan said the girl was rushed to Hulu Terengganu Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The case has been classified as sudden death.
