Girl, 15, arrested after robbery near Sainsbury’s, in Fossbank

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl and a woman have been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault near the city centre. The girl and the 21-year-old woman, both from York, were taken into custody on Saturday, in connection with the incident near Sainsbury’s, in Fossbank, on November 5. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was walking in the direction of Monkgate, when she was approached by two women and a man at about 11.45pm. The two women punched the victim before stealing her bag, which contained her purse and mobile phone. Both suspects have been released on police bail.
