Cheras Housewife Fought Back As 2 Men With Parang Barged Into Her Car

  • Yesterday, 14 August, a housewife was robbed by two men with a machete in front of a supermarket in Cheras
    • According to Cheras district police chief ACP Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon, the incident took place at 11.20pm in Taman Connaught, Cheras as reported by Bernama.

      Fortunately, the 21-year-old woman was rescued by cops patrolling around the area during the incident.

  • The suspects held the machete to the victim's neck while also punching her in the cheek

    • "During the incident, one of the men opened the door of the complainant's car and grabbed her bag and a handphone," Mokhsein said in a statement issued.

      "The victim was also punched in the cheek but fought back by kicking the door towards the man," the police chief added.
  • Cops managed to arrest one of the suspects, while the other fled the scene on a motorcycle
    • Mokhsein added that the suspect also collided with the police patrol car when he escaped.

      "Efforts to locate another suspect are ongoing," he said, adding that the 34-year-old suspect nabbed was tested positive for drugs.

      The suspect has been remanded for seven days for further investigation under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code, Section 12 (2), and Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
