Indeed. Root beer float, curly fries and waffles.

I had my first (or second?) burger at an A&W restaurant in the Singapore Zoo. The other first/second burger was from Plaza Singapura McDonalds. I was eating a Filet O'Fish from its bluye styrofoam box on the upper deck of a non-aircon SBS double decker bus. Front seat, window seat.

Their 1st outlet & that time only outlet was at Robinson Road just a stones throw from the CPF building. That was in the late 60's.

You are correct at the old SIA building in 1968.

Dunearn road is the first branch in 1970.

I think so too. Used to minum rootbeer there after soccer at the field opp A&W. Early 70s.

There's one A&W rootbeer call float. Add one ice cream on top of the mug. Really steam. I like the big root beer mugs. Till now, I still like to drink my Chang Beer from those mugs. Especially after freezing the mugs in the freezer.

I was there as a schoolkid in the mid 1990s. I remember the interior was well decorated, with a retro music jukebox, and pin-ups of Elvis and Michael Jackson on the walls.

The girls used to invite me there on Coney Dog day where you get free root beer float.

Only saying this because it reminds me of the good old days when PAP was still democratic socialist and
Singapore was not swarmed by low quality FT's from PRC, India or Pinoyland.
