PHOTOS of a radiant Ms Lo Hwei Yen on her wedding day greet you as soon as the lift door opens to Mr Michael Puhaindran's condominium apartment in Marine Parade.

Stepping inside the two-bedroom unit, it is clear Ms Lo, his wife, is still mistress of the house.

It has been a year since the 28-year-old lawyer was taken hostage and tragically killed in Mumbai but her books line the bookshelf in the living room.

The novel she had brought along for her trip to the Indian city - The Girls of Ridayh - is on the shelf too, with bookmark still inserted at the page she had stopped at.

Her favourite tea is served to guests and the wardrobe in the master bedroom still holds her clothes. Some of her half-used toiletries and her toothbrush remain in the bathroom.

There are other pictures of her and Mr Puhaindran - most of their wedding day - framed and placed around the house. A particular photo frame - a digital one - which stands on a coffee table by the window holds special meaning for Mr Puhaindran.

I wonder what this article is really about and what the mouthpiece is trying to convey to the nation. It doesn't pass off either as local nor entertainment news.

An individual has passed on abeit tragic conditions and the ST is holding a memorial service after one year to remind the public . Have they really ran out of articles to write and now anything goes.

With due respect to the decease, I really wonder if they are glorifying her or highlighting the husband for his unending love and remembrance.

Excellent point !

The world is full of hatred and if we just stop hating within ourselves, there will be less hate. We owed it to the world to stop the hatred and it can starts from within ourselves.

Anger is the only thing worth killing as told in this Ghatva Sutta, SN 1.71

The Question:

Having killed what
do you sleep in ease?
Having killed what
do you not grieve?
Of the slaying
of what one thing
does Gotama approve?

The Answer :

Having killed anger
you sleep in ease.
Having killed anger
you do not grieve.
The noble ones praise
the slaying of anger
— with its honeyed crest
& poison root —
for having killed it

he has not moved on yet?
if he insist of making his place a shrine.
when are he going to find another gal?
he is still young.

There was a time when Indians and Malays here decided to convert all and marry Chinese women and call them their own .

Death is imminent if one is at the wrong place wrong time.

Repeat message seems to constantly remind peasants need to be reminded that the world is unsafe beyond the castle wall.

Terrorist can erase your life when your great leaders cannot protect you.
