The conditions in Regensburg are becoming more and more unbearable. The pre-human inhabitants of asylum accommodation spread fear and terror. Raids, drugs and finally a rape brought the camel's back to overflow. A Regensburg CSU member of parliament wrote a letter of anger to Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD).

The eastern Bavarian city of Regensburg with its almost 160,000 inhabitants is actually an idyllic place, not least thanks to the preserved medieval centre. But the parents live here in growing fear for their children. A few days ago, a young woman (29) was raped. The police have now arrested two Tunisian suspects. Both are in early 20 and are in custody.

The tragic incident did not happen out of the blue.

The city has now removed the park benches between a girls' school and the main train station. This was because a hotspot for migrants who harassed women. “We go for a day at the castle park, and for a good six months we have been listening to more people who have been talking in foreign language,” said retired pastor Erhard Schmidt to the “picture”. “You could watch the young migrants selling drugs or burying them in the ground.”

Police: Situation further acute in 2023

The police confirmed such statements. Tunisians in particular are among the suspects. “The figures for the year 2023 in the station area will exceed the figures from previous years,” a police spokeswoman reported against “Bild”.
Meanwhile, the anger on the Minister of the Interior is growing. Since summer last year, asylum seekers from Tunisia have been increasingly being housed in the near the train station – coordinated by the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (picture, SPD) shall finally come to Regensburg and get an impression of the situation for herself, demands a CSU politician.

CSU politician invites interior minister to Regensburg

The Regensburg CSU member of parliament Peter Aumer published an incendiary letter to Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser (SPD). In it he invites her to Regensburg. May she “make an impression of the situation when talking to the authorities and those affected themselves”. He had already approached the SPD politician in December, but only received a reply to her secretary.
It needed “Turbo procedures for foreign intensive care offenders,” says the CSU politician. It needs faster procedures for asylum seekers from the Maghreb countries of Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Western Sahara. Moreover, Tunisia would have to be recognised as a safe country of origin.

Permanent Thefts in the supermarkets

In addition, there are more popular raids by migrants in Edeka supermarkets – the eXXpress reported. In December, the call for help from market manager Konstantin Gatzke (48) made headlines: “Every day, men dressed in black, all from the asylum homes in Regensburg, come to us. Do backpacks and bags full, go out again without paying through the entrance!” Afterwards he was attacked by left-wing extremists, who accused him of incitement against refugees.
