DORTMUND. After the murder of a 58-year-old German, the Dortmund police arrested a 26-year-old Turk. The man is said to have ambushed the victim in an underground car park on March 7 and then executed him in cold blood.

This was preceded by a traffic accident between the two a few days earlier, in which the later victim photographed the perpetrator’s car, which apparently provoked him. “Then the Dortmunder decided to kill him,” said the investigating public prosecutor, according to the Bild newspaper.

According to the public prosecutor’s office, “anger and rejection of German citizens” played a role as a motive. The alleged killer is in custody. After the murder, the police formed a special commission and offered a reward of up to 5,000 euros for information about the perpetrator. (ho)
