A 63-year-old from Delmenhorst has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Oldenburg regional court for the murder of his much younger wife. The man from Afghanistan cut the 21-year-old’s throat in front of their children. The woman had wanted to separate from the violent husband. After the verdict, the perpetrator tore himself free and threw himself over a balustrade in the district court building. He was taken to a clinic with severe head injuries.
