Mr George Yeo listed 6 books on his favourite book list.

Out of the 6, 3 are my favourite too, incidentally. ;)

You are what you read. To be honest, I'm impressed by how GY is fighting the election battle since his Nomination Day speech, applying what he'd read I believe.

Look at the battle and the rhetorical exchanges objectively and you will come to terms with who will win this battle in the end.

there is absolutely no middle ground here, you're either with us, or against us. :D

Hahaha, I was just about to say that.
He has just come out of the closet yesterday, and reinforcing the point today. :D

Anyone mentioned ah neh ?

Oops i hit the keyword ! His facebook profile picture shows him and an ah neh lady carrying a baby each... it would be rather strange to put peasants picture on his profile so i reckon that must be his family ???

Bro thanks for the advise!

I don't come across many who would say Dao De Jing is on his favourite book list. So I'm intrigued that's all. :D

hi there

1. could the dark woman be some maid or plaything or what?
2. honest, his reading list is alright nothing heavy or huge.
3. i am surprise he did not include the "hard truths" thing onto his listing.

I agree that the Dao De Jing is not a wordy text, probably around a thousand or two words. But the message/s are far-reaching and profound.

For eg, this is one of my fav quotes from the text : 民不畏死 奈何以死惧之.

Ditto for the Art of War. :D

道可道 非常道...

Thank you Mr. George Yeo for seeing the 'bigger flow' of things as mentioned in your press conference today.

I wish you the very best! Jiayou! :D

I think part of the initiation ritual for all PAPpies is a reading of Plato's The Republic. Just look at how self-satisfied they are. They really see themselves as Singapore's philosopher kings.

GY gives me the impression that he is more of a king philosopher type of guy. :p
