Vietnam is China.
China makers relocate their plants to Vietnam to bypass US trade tariff, and for cheaper labour costs.
But raw materials still make in China. Vietnam is a sub-assembly plants only. And export under Made in Vietnam.
Vietnam is like Singapore in the 1970s for cheap labours. Materials still come from US/Europe send to Singapore for testings or sub-assembly and export from there under Made In Singapore.
Vietnam will be like Singapore in the 1980s where many Viets will take management course to climb up corporate ladders but will unlikely to copy and start their own biz to compete with China.
Another Jiakleowbee country like Singapore only trading. Then in 20 years time China factories move out of Vietnam to who know where?
Iraq or ME, or Africaaaaa!!!!
Our region is set to be the next area to watch- Vietnam is fast catching up.
