Now we have SHE aquariums, underwater world, ...now huge swathe of Sentosa needs to pay to get in. Is this the way forward now?? Garment will reclaim more and more of our nature reserves and they will build theme parks or attractions like River Safari or some other type of zoo or whatever...and earn revenue out of them. OK or Not ..Bros and Sis??

SinGAPORE: From April 3, visitors can look forward to discovering the exotic wildlife found in eight iconic river habitats -- including the Mississippi, Nile, Mekong, Yangtze and Amazon rivers -- with the soft opening of River Safari.

During the soft opening phase, visitors can walk through River Safari's freshwater galleries and immersive exhibits. This includes the world's largest freshwater aquarium at the Amazon Flooded Forest and the Giant Panda Forest.

The park's boat rides will not be available until later this year as these are undergoing technical adjustments.

The 12-hectare, S$160 million River Safari is the newest addition to Wildlife Reserves Singapore's portfolio of award-winning parks. The park will be home to over 150 plant species and 5,000 animal specimens, representing 300 animal species.

Better enjoy our remaining nature lands like St Johns island, Pulau Ubin, our reservoir areas....soon they will be transformed into some world class attractions and chargeable!!

You got to envy the animals in Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari. Customised enclosures, water features, no overcrowding, good ambience, quality of life etc. Probably the only country where the animals are treated better than its citizens.

Not totally true. Look at the treatment the 2 pandas got. :D

They should use existing golf courses first for such attractions. Leave the few remaining patches of nature alone.

Well they r afflicted with the same sinkie human syndrome...they r not replacing themselves....so maybe not so jolly after all. Back to my thread...the entire country becoming one big theme park!!!

If they can maintain the eco system and protect the water supply, the only concern is the lost of natural primary vegetation. Maybe its time to have the red line drawn and any further development requires 2/3 rd parliamentary vote and President nod. Least it should be debated in parliament.

Who the fuck will want to go to a Giant Panda Forest without the Panda?

What happened to the Pandas? Did I miss something.

Look at the welcome and the money spent to build their lodge. Similar to how the MIWs treats the FT to the Local.
They are treated much better than the rest.
