Gang leader to be questioned after he recovers
PETALING JAYA: The leader of the Vinod 08 gang, who was shot by police in a car chase, will be allowed to recuperate from his injuries before being interrogated.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rahim Abdullah said the man, known as Vinod, may also be handed over to the Sentul police to facilitate investigations of other crimes.
“We will get more information on the gang once he recovers,” said ACP Abdul Rahim.
He also said that the female member, who was arrested together with Vinod, was still under detention.
Vinod sustained bullet wounds on his right shoulder and waist when he was shot by police during a three-hour car chase from Taman Sri Gombak to Taman Titiwangsa on Nov 22.
Acting on a tip off, police tracked down the suspects travelling in their car after they were involved in an attempted break-in at Taman Sri Gombak at about 1.30am on Friday.
