[h=1]Gallup Index: Singapore ranked 97th out of 145 countries in Well-Being[/h]admin / 13 hours ago June 27, 2015

The latest Gallup index on the state of global well-being released on Thursday (June 25) revealed that Singapore is ranked 97th out of 145 countries in well-being for 2014. This ranking is way below its neighbours in South East Asia like Malaysia (40th) and Indonesia (73rd).

The result of Singapore’s rankings in the Gallup index are as follow:

Purpose – 111th
Social – 123rd
Financial – 9th
Community – 72nd
Physical – 137th

The survey methods are base don telephone and face-to-face interviews with a random sample of more than 146,000 adults living in 145 countries and areas in 2014. The survey questions are as follow:

Purpose
-You like what you do every day.
-You learn or do something interesting every day.

Social
-Someone in your life always encourages you to be healthy.
-Your friends and family give you positive energy every day.

Financial
-You have enough money to do everything you want to do.
-In the last seven days, you have worried about money.

Community
-The city or area where you live is a perfect place for you.
-In the last 12 months, you have received recognition for helping to improve the city or area where you live.

Physical
-In the last seven days, you have felt active and productive every day.
-Your physical health is near-perfect.

However, the Gallup survey for Singapore is inaccurate in the financial aspects because of the high income gap. Singaporeans who worry about their financials and the 26% who are earning less than S$1,500/mth, are clearly not ranking 9th in the world.

An accurate ranking for Singaporean’s financial well-being would be around 50th in relative comparison to Malaysia’s 34th, given retirement and cost of living worries topping Singapore citizens’ concerns. A better estimate of Singapore’s ranking should be pushed down to 111th, next to a bankrupted Greece.

Goodness gracious shit! That is indeed a low ranking! :(

The Gallup Index is full of shit.

Sinkies have life expectancies into the 80s, over 90% of sinkies own their own homes, no homeless people, no war, no natural disasters and amongst the highest income earners in the world. That already makes Singapore amongst the best place to live and work. You can ask any foreign talent, foreign cheap labour and maid, many of whom gladly paid months of their wages in order for a chance to work and live in Singapore.

And now, Sinkies will be getting a national health plan that is way better than Obamacare. Sinkies should kneel down and suck the cock of every PAP MP who worked so tirelessly to make life better for every sinkie.

I agree with JohnTan that the Gallup Index is full of shit. Why do you think so many of my countrymen are flocking here en masse? This is simply another zionist report trying to do Singapore in.

if you stay away from sinkies..your well-being will sure improve.
