I think there is enough land, but most people surely do not want millions more new immigrants to crowd the local job market. Neither does providing nursing services to aging singapore require so many more millions.

What the white paper addresses is only the physical aspect of sufficient infrastructure and housing. But what about give sinkies priorities in job market? How is pap going to achieve this? Merely paying lip service is grossly inadequate.

these MIWs do not know what is quality of life as they are not affected. Quality of life is a slow pace of life, able to breathe fresh air, drink fresh water, enjoy the quiet parks or garden, sleep well , enjoy frineds for company at one pace and when old enjoy a good retirement. Not some stupid things like increased GDP but have to rush everywhere, congetsed MRTs/road, drink sh!tty water and polluted air and damn noisy all year round.
How some nobody bring up the issue of epidemics like Dengue, TB, AIDS and Chikungya fever in singapore so sommon past few year due to constructions everywhere and from over-crowding and all these workers bring in diseases!!!!
lots of mosquitoess!!! you don't get dengue and TB epidemic every year in BHK or seoul or even KL, bangkok or even JB!!!!!!
currently when 5 m population already it is like hell. all they care is $$$. life is hectic, polluted air , diesel fumes and yearly indonesian smog, haze. go anywhere you hear irritating PInoy talking like some cat speaking. mainland china men shouting all over. MRT cramp. road are jam. everywhere is full ofpeople, even parks. everything so expensive. of course it does not affect the elites in Bukit timah as they are not affected . for them even better cheap labour. might as well ask, why 6.9m ????? is this some con cheap sale like $1.99 cts shop. just to make it sound palatable. why some statistician says 8million, why some preperty developer also says 9 millions?? 20 yaers ago they say 4 million maximum, now change story. I'm sure in a few years times, they would say economy bad , so need to import till 8 million. and whole cycles rpeat itself till 20 million cramped into a little red dot. why not 20 million ?? some stupid idiot in MSM would compare us with Beijing or Tokyo nad says there 20+ million there......
