The ST announce today that CPF rates for older workers may be restored to those under 50 years of age. This should be rejoiced and hope this is another case of slapping to get them to their senses. But this does not hide the fact that to was a stupid move a couple of years ago to discriminate the older workers. We must not let them twist the truth and make it seem like they did good by the reversal!!

Reversal is welcomed. But as TS rightly pointed out, in the first place why discriminate?

They discriminate because they thought that by lowering CPF rates for older workers, this will make the older workers cheaper and more employerable. However the policy totally flopped when employers just pocket the 'profit' and keep on hiring FTs which they gahment let in by opening the floodgates. Now older workers not only get less CPF, they are also 'not employable' and they suffer more from the higher cost of livings!!! Triple whammy!! Of course, now gahment worried about this screw-up, they better revert back to old policy...but now employers and FTs kao bei since they already on new wage structure. What a freaking screw-up!!
