Hotel Reichshof:
The Sofitel:
Park Hyatt:
Le Meridien:
The Movenpick Hotel:
The Grand Elysee:
Atlantic Kempinski:

Trump couldn't find hotel to book for G-20: report

President Trump was left without a luxury hotel to stay at for the annual G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, this week after White House officials waited too long to book a hotel, Buzzfeed reported Thursday.
The U.S. initially sought to accommodate Trump in the local Four Seasons hotel, only to find it was already fully booked by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, the report said. Other luxury hotels around Hamburg were similarly booked up by other key figures.

The G-20 Summit, which was announced in February 2016, requires 9,000 hotel rooms to accommodate world leaders, staffs and security details.
Trump will reportedly stay at Hamburg's Senate guesthouse for the summit, with the U.S. Consulate General hosting his staff.
The Hotel Reichshof was taken by Vietnam’s delegation, Russian President Vladimir Putin is staying at the Park Hyatt and The Grand Elysée was booked by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.

Donald Trump has reportedly had trouble getting a hotel room for the upcoming G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.
His team apparently waited too long to book accommodations for the President and his travelling staff and were told none of the major hotels had vacancies, Buzzfeed reported.
The local newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt reported that the Four Seasons had to turn him away as they were full.

In an ironic twist for the hotel chain owner, every luxury hotel in town seemed to be booked up. There do not appear to be any Trump-owned properties in the northern German city.
Buzzfeed did some digging and found that King Salman of Saudi Arabia and his massive entourage are staying at the Four Seasons as well two other high-end hotels.

When President Trump lays his head to rest tonight in Hamburg, Germany, he will reportedly be doing so in a government-owned guesthouse. That wasn’t his first choice, but after the White House was unable to find a ritzy Hamburg hotel to host him, it was Trump’s best option.
It’s unclear if Trump encountered so many “no vacancy” signs because his team is disorganized or because he’s reviled. BuzzFeed blames staffers who got a late start booking Trump’s travel plans. By the time they began searching for hotels in Hamburg, all the rooms were booked.
The Four Seasons was Trump’s first choice, according to German outlet The Hamburger Abendblatt. But it wasn’t available thanks to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and his huge entourage. Trump was apparently turned away from many other local hotels too.

For a time, it appeared that Trump might move his base from Hamburg to Berlin, 180 miles away, and commute to the G20 meetings by helicopter, Germany’s Die Welt reports.
But that plan fell apart too, and not because there were no vacancies. Speaking to Die Welt, a spokesperson for the Berlin InterContinental said that they don’t typically comment on guests, “But in this case, we say clearly: No, he does not stay with us.”
This isn’t the first time the Trump administration has run into complications finding accommodations in Germany. In February, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson stayed at a spa catering to old folks after failing to find a hotel room in Bonn.
