In terms of sensor size, Canon G1X has one of the largest for the compact category, overall RX100 has better features, even beating Nikon1 J1.

The Canon G1X physical size is much bigger than RX100.

I am going to test out the new RX100 mark II, with it tilting screen & wifi.
