被告蔡娟明（34岁）面对8项控状，指她从2008年8月3日至2009年9月1日间，在位于大巴窑北的新加
坡报业中心，通过电邮和电话留言，羞辱和恐吓《海峡时报》记者李莉莉，触犯杂项法令。

蔡娟明一共发出4封具侮辱性和1封具恐吓性的电邮、1封具侮辱的信件及留下两次具恐吓性的电话留言
给受害女郎。

受害女郎李莉莉，目前任职《海峡时报》财经组高级记者，被告则相信是报业控股市场部的前职员。

根据新加坡的杂项法令，使用威胁、辱骂或侮辱性的言语或行为，造成他人困扰、惊恐或苦恼者，可被罚款高达5000元。

被告身形肥胖，长得稍微高大，乍看之下像男人，身穿灰色圆领T恤和牛仔裤出庭，面控前不停东张西
望，陪同她上庭的母亲则一脸焦虑。

控方表示，需要时间进行深入调查，向法官要求将案件展延。
