This is the hour when many foreign workers leave their quarters to go to work. Of late, there appears to have been a surge in the number of Chinese workers. These workers put their own safety at risk on the roads. They weave in and out of traffic on their bicycles, cutting from one lane to another without considering other traffic on the road. Some trundle trolleys of material, others dash across busy roads, while many others sit along the kerb waiting for their transport. Driving along Geylang Road is a morning mayhem for motorists because of these foreign workers who are oblivious to their safety and traffic rules. The Traffic Police should act.' [email protected]
