If the FT is in an industry that is clearly short of manpower or talent - for example

in construction and marine, there is a lot of shortfall of manpower, please hire the PRC, the bengali, the thai, the burmese

in maid services, there is shortage, hire the pinoy, the indonesian, why not PRC (hehehe)

even in entertainment, short of talent: as a veteran band member, i concede pinoy bands are good and value for money

BUT NO, NO, NO: in the S-pass category in IT and a number of business services, call centres, etc, no FT should be allowed since enough of locals to do the job

in IR: plse hire locals

in EMPLOYMENT PASS CATEGORY: there is no quota currently, opening the system to abuse. must have quota for EP category

why hire sinkies when they can get cutback - under the table money from agent for hiring FT, and every month they pay less for the salary. permit easy to get, only need to pay PAP.
