A CONSTRUCTION supervisor, who cheated the Marina Bay Sands casino of $75 in a poker game, was caught out by a suspicious dealer.
Chen Shou Ming, 41, was fined $1,000 on Wednesday. The Chinese national was playing Singapore Stud Poker at the casino at 1.20am on June 3. His initial wager was $25 and according to the rules, he could bet another $50 if he got a good hand.
After seeing that he had a Queen pair, he increased his initial bet by another $25 when the dealer was not looking. This allowed him to increase his secondary bet from $50 to $100.
However, the dealer remembered that initial bets by all the players had been $25 for that hand. He then asked for a review of the video surveillance footage.
