According to Bloomberg the value of Apple has exceeded the total value of the Russian stock market & still give every Russian a 64 GB iPhone 6+. What I found interesting but not surprising that it even surpasses Spore

It even mentions Singapore:

Russia, the 20th largest among the world’s major markets, is not the only one Apple has surpassed. The company, which forecasts a record holiday-sales quarter and has $155 billion in cash, is also bigger than 17th-ranked Singapore and 18th-ranked Italy.


Always thought that Temasek should just sack Ho Ching & Co & invest in Apple

market cap of a company is not the same thing as gdp of a country........gdp is basically the estimated value of the wealth created in a country in a year,singapore's gdp last year was 290 billion.

the value of apple is 600 billion yes but u have to look at the output of the company or its profits....apple made 41 billion last year.

41 billion for a single company is still ridiculous though,palestine gdp only 4 billion.apple makes 10 times more than palestine.how can hamas fight a war against israel when they are so poor?

GLCs dominate the Spore stock market. With so many loss making GLCs & civil servants making million dollar salaries , I wonder about the real state of the countries finances

With the fall in oil prices the market cap of Exxon has fallen. Exxon used to be number 1 until Apple took over that spot.

microsoft will be here to stay, even in schools, they are teaching microsoft.net in place of java, which was used mainly in the late 90's.
