Pill poppers were all the rage back in the mid-90s to late 20s in almost every night spot from JB to Hatyai, the widespread shake head frenzy lasted till 7am. I've seen a friend drop dead in front of the loudspeaker at a discotheque in Ipoh..if I am correct the first pill was distributed by an Indonesian syndicate at a nightclub in S'pore.
