Who knows if it could be evolved....

I think of converting from one form to another could be efficient, similar to the heat pump technology, where it converts electricity to heat.
In this QEG, it converts electricity to other form first, then to convert it back to electricity ---> possible!!!

Heat is just a form of energy. It's converted from one form to another or back to mass. Then there is anti-matter which complicates things further.

However, the premise that our universe is the one and only could be wrong. Multiverse theories are starting to blossom. The mathematics tells us that it is quite possible.

Sorry, I am not able to fully answer your question. The sun as fars as I know is fusion energy, it is not self-generating eternally. Something has to start the reaction, some kind of matter has to be provided. After eons of burning, it is expected to burn out and die, I think they call this Super Nova. We are unable to deal with this. Our species has not made a power plant utilizing fusion energy, yet.

I don't think these celestial bodies are "floating." They are in some sort of balance by action of all their combined gravitational forces. Yes, it is faster to travel in space, but first we have to break out from the gravitational pull from our own planet. That takes massive amounts of energy. Once up there, we have to navigate to avoid being struck by asteroids, meteors, bad Klingon pilots. Not easy.

However, the laws of physics as they operate now do not allow the the creation of energy from nothing. If these scam machines actually worked, NASA wouldn't be using solar panels to charge batteries on the Mars rover. They just install one of these miracle gadgets.
