ok lar... I lugi never mind. You want new notes I can exchange with you. Any denomination also can. :D

Keep them for sentimental value.. Now very hard to find these kind of old Spore notes..

dunno why they want to replace the beautiful orchid flower with a mats:o

they will have new notes with lau lee's face in the foreseeable future.

Lau lee is admired all over the world if his portraits printed in the new notes, I 'm sure the value will go up many folds as many people would want to collect it.

if u value those old note, better keep them under lock and key, especially have maid at home. i ever see a maid make purchase with these type of orchid notes, i quickly ask the cashier to change with me. The maid employer lose is my gain.:D

Bring them with you into your coffin. You are not far away from the maker anyway.

just wondering, any "resale" value for banana notes today?

just wondering , can sultan of Brunei terminate the Currency Interchangeability Agreement at any moment ?
if the 2 currencies are not pegged to the same value , which one would be stronger ?

i think can stop anytime but with political repercussion.

I reckon SG will be stronger if we decouple.

Those who are or have have been in the banking industry should know, Brunei dollar would certainly be stronger, backed by oil more than enough to last many generations of Bruneians in comfort without working. That's why it can be pegged on par to Singapore dollar. Do you think any tinpot currency can be pegged to Singapore dollar? Do you think Singapore MAS is so stupid or generous to undertake the peg of Brunei dollar? Brunei is just paying a little discount for the convenience with their trust in MAS exchange rate policies. Brunei, rich as it is per capita, is still small in population as a whole, still less than 1 million. How many Brunei dollars can there be in circulation? Is it worth the while to set up their own independent central banking and international forex systems? They only want their Sultan on their dollars. If Singapore is fine with it, they're fine with it. The British in withdrawal actually wanted a Malaysia-Singapore-Brunei currency zone like a mini Euro zone that we see now. But the Malaysians screwed it and couldn't sustain it. The British learnt their lesson well. That's why they opted out of Euro common currency.

they got oil to backup their currency whereas singapore got what ? it does not make sense for brunei to do this ?

If I was Lau Lee (off course no chance lah), I will never allow this to happen.

Indonesian rupiahs, Indian rupees, Chinese yuan (RMB) has pictures of Sukarno, Gandhi and Mao-Tse-Tung. Nothing great.

Prostitutes keep this cash in their bra or undies for fear of being robbed. Some may even shove it into their private orifices.
