After a social media user was concerned about whether Muslim meals on S'pore Airlines flights are truly halal, ex-Sembawang PAP MP Amrin Amin warned against unfairly labelling such Muslims as "entitled" or "puritanical" because they wanted more assurance. This comes from religious conviction, not to make demands.” Actually, making demands and wanting to be exclusive sounds about right.

You always have these token Melayus from the PAP fraternity who, upon being instructed, bark according to the script about matters involving their cult.

Happens all the time. It will happen again.

The issue began after a poster on Threads, understood to be a Malaysian national, asked on April 20 if the Muslim meals on SIA are heated in the same ovens as those that contain pork. She explained that she asked the question because her flight on a Middle Eastern airline had been cancelled, and she was looking for options.

Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib, who is the founder director of the Dialogue Centre and vice-chairperson of the Centre for Interfaith Understanding, described the controversy as unnecessary. He said the issue was: “Frankly, embarrassing” to him as a Muslim. Well said!

I saw the threads post as well. The OP is indeed a Malaysian. Even if they serve halal certified food, as long as alcohol being served. The whole place is still not halal. Don't ask me why but their fucking holy book.
