It's harder to tell Singaporeans they need more FTs at PMET levels. That would be admitting that they have run out of ideas to create new economic sectors that will bring better paying jobs to locals. So economy is at a standstill if they waited around for magic sectors. Thus they still want to push for growth and this they achieved by importing hordes of cheap labour for the PMETs for businesses which complained of locals too demanding etc. So they achieved GDP growth with volume not quality.

Yes you are right, but this cannot go on indefinitely, PAP must be sent that message but we have a Foreigners 1st policy, every singaporean knows it but 60% still vote PAP which means they support it. but hey 60% sadomasochist drag the rest of us down.
