Former girlfriend of HK legislator's son jumps to her death

The former girlfriend of Jeremy Fok, the youngest son of Hong Kong legislator Timothy Fok and the grandson of "red capitalist" Henry Fok, has committed suicide by jumping from a hospital car park, reports Duowei News, a news outlet run by overseas Chinese.
On Nov. 22, Rebecca Lo attempted to kill herself by cutting her wrists at home but was found and taken to hospital. She later ran from the emergency room to the fifth floor of the hospital's parking building where she jumped to her death. She was 24.
Jeremy Fok, born in 1988, reportedly began dating Lo while studing in the UK and later became involved with one of her friends, according to Hong Kong media. Another source also linked him to Taiwanese actress Pink Yang. The couple eventually separated after five years, which is said to be a cause of Lo's depression.
Jeremy Fok's eldest brother Kenneth recently married Chinese diving champion Guo Jingjing at a large society wedding in Guangzhou.
