SINGAPORE: Another person has been charged in relation to the City Harvest Church court case.

Former finance director Serina Wee has been read 10 charges, four related to falsifying accounts and six to criminal breach of trust.

From as early as 7.30am on Wednesday, City Harvest Church supporters started to gather at the carpark outside the Subordinate Courts.

They began to stream into court at around 8am.

Within a span of 15 minutes, a snaking queue of more than 50 people formed outside the court where the cases of five members of the church, including its founder, would be mentioned.

In late June, ‪‪City Harvest Church's Kong Hee and four others were charged with misappropriating money from the church's building fund.

A sum of S$24 million was allegedly transferred from the building fund account to two companies as bond investments.

These were "sham transactions" devised to conceal the diversion of the church's building fund, to finance the music career of Sun Ho, the wife of Kong Hee.

A further sum of S$26.6 million was allegedly used to create the impression that the sham bonds had been fully "redeemed", a process called "round-tripping".

All six charged are claiming trial so a pre-trial conference has been set for August 30.
