Donald Tsang the former Chief Executive of HK has been found guilty of corruption and he faces a possible 7 year jail term and a fine.

He will be sentenced on Monday.

Nobody can touch the Chief Executive of S'pore cos the CPIB is under his direct control.

He a talented civil servant on par with Tharman. This would not have happened if HK paid him millions.

CPIB no use cannot charge CAQ Pinky. Only ICAC can charge and send Pinky to jail for corruption.

Donald's fall will adversely impact the CE chance of the other Tsang. John Tsang.

HongKongers have always been vary of the surname Tsang and Donald's demise didn't help.

Looks like HK is streets ahead when it comes to the rule of law. A term very much bandied about the Singapore PAP for over 50 years but is never applied to a select few.

“It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those
    who are subject to it.”
    Aung San Suu Kyi

because they know that once they lose power, all their misdeeds will be revealed -but how long can one family or one party hang on to power
in this modern age? Will the 70% remains balless forever?

Former HK disgraced leader Donald Tsang shifts from high flyer to remand prisoner

Donald Tsang was moved from a remand centre to the custodial ward in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, now faces the prospect of prison fare

    21st February, 2017

Former chief executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen once dined with high-flying businessmen in Macau and took yacht rides with tycoons, but Monday night was a low point for him, in the custodial ward
    of Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Tsang 72, was remanded on Monday at the Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre for two nights ahead of sentencing on Wednesday, when he is expected to be jailed for misconduct in public office.

Tsang’s first dinner behind bars would have been chicken wings, vegetables and rice, according to a prison source, but he was instead taken to hospital after he complained of feeling unwell.

After more than four decades as a civil servant, during which he earned the nickname “Bow-tie Tsang” for his favourite accessory, the former leader had to swap his suit for prison garb on Monday. That
was before he was wheeled on a stretcher into the hospital’s custodial ward.

While he is unable to access his regular wardrobe of dapper clothes, his faith as a devout Catholic entitles him to a Bible to read in prison.

When Tsang arrived at the Lai Chi Kok centre – one of six maximum security prisons in Hong Kong – officers took his fingerprints and photo, and confiscated his personal items.

He also had a medical check-up and a security X-ray scan – a measure introduced in 2013 to replace manual rectal searches.

While prisoners on remand can order private food, the time needed to process the request means Tsang will have to eat regular prison fare, which is usually plain rice with boiled vegetables, bread
with potatoes and beans, or curry dishes with naan bread.

All prisoners would be treated equally, the Correctional Services Department said.

Disgraced Donald Tsang faces up to seven years in prison for corruption in office, as he waits behind bars for sentencing on Wednesday.

Yes I heard too from the grapevine that Donald has a good head for figures! That figures! I also agree that if he is paid by the millions measured in SGD dollars, he would not need to be corrupt. What a waste of talent!

Donald Tsang salary as HK CEO was not cheap for he was getting HK$380,000 pm, a lot more than Hussein Obama and Angela Merkel.

Right now CY Leong is peeing in his pants for the ICAC is investigating his receipt of HK$50m from an Australian firm for the past two and a half years.

Donald will get to meet up and spend time with his former Chief Secretary, Rafael Hui who is serving 71/2 years in Stanley prison from 2014.
